Stewart sent me several experimental prototypes a while back and this one really grabbed my interest. Mostly because it looked simple...pack six "lollipops" into a box. Plus I could already see them in the solved state! I dumped them out and mixed them up and then sat there, stumped. Eventually I figured it out but it took a lot longer than I expected. A very fun, tricky puzzle that can also form a bunch of other symmetrical shapes. Construction of this puzzle is outstanding. We used a dovetail bit to create angled shoulders for the box...something a little different that was a lot of fun. Bottom of the box is floated for expansion and the top is secured by magnets and a dovetail. Fit is great, humidity shouldn't be an issue for this puzzle. 50 copies made for sale, each signed and dated. This puzzle is shipped assembled. |
