16 MOVE PUZZLE BOX

What people have to say...

Dave Rossetti
"I think the addition of back-track moves on both ends is a nice touch and makes it more than just the same old straight line solution of many of the Japanese boxes.
As for construction and materials, it seems well made out of nice wood and the workings were at the right friction level with good tolerances."

Jerry Slocum
"I received your beautiful 16-move Puzzle Box yesterday. I couldn't put it down until I solved it! It is a very nice puzzle as well as a very beautiful one with supurb craftsmanship! Congratulations!"

Curt Northrop
"I have received the box. The opening sequence is very clever. The materials are excellent and should have good longevity. ... I very much like the wood and am proud to display this piece."

Jim Youngblood
"I like the design very much, your use of the ends and top and bottom pieces to create an opening design that is discovered as you try to open the box like a Japanese secret box only to discover that this is not the key to the best solution, however it does show the puzzler that this is the way after finding the first few moves and that to try and use the method used to open a Japaneses Secret Box any further will only confuse or cause a delay in finding the real solution. This is a great decoy and makes your design especially interesting when a person who is adept at opening the Japanese Secret Box trys to use their skills learned on this box to try and figure your box out."

James Strayer
I love the box! Your craftsmanship is superb. Yours also is the first lacewood box in my collection. One of Kamei's small boxes uses the principle of sliding a panel and then sliding another panel into a notch in the first, but your box takes this much further.

I really like the box!! It is very well made and sturdy and the movement is smooth. It is pleasing to the eye and will certainly go in my family heirloom collection. I thoroughly enjoyed solving it.
