| COMMENTS: | Rigmarole is a brilliantly simple yet deceivingly difficult puzzle by Brendan Perez. Seven pieces pack into a square box with a smaller square opening. The first several are easy...then the uphill battle begins. With six like pieces and a mirrored seventh, one would expect multiple solutions. Unfortunately there is only one solution, a fairly high level 6.3.3.7 assembly which must be done in a very particular order. This is a fun one to spring on an unsuspecting expert! Finely crafted with brilliantly contrasting woods, including a lovely Tamirand top which really sets off the walnut box and Paduak pieces. Accuracy is superb, with later moves settling down on a cushion of displaced air. 48 copies made for sale, each signed and dated. This puzzle is shipped disassembled. |
