The design for Penta-Puzzle came about through my exploration of the platonic and Archimedean solids or polyhedra and the various forms that can be derived from these. Initially I did not intend it to be a put-together puzzle. The first one was a fixed assembly that I made as a gift for my brother's 50th birthday. In the process of putting it together I discovered what a puzzle it was to assemble. A lot of things happen like that; unforeseen in the original intent.
